Comment: In 2001, nearly
half of cesarean mom chose to try a VBAC. But in 2003 that
number has dropped to 1 in 3 moms. This means that 2 in 3
cesarean moms scheduled their cesarean surgery. The drop
can be related to more doctors refusing to perform VBAC or
more restrictions to who qualifies for a VBAC.

Comment: In 2001, nearly
3 in 4 cesarean moms who tried for a VBAC, managed to avoid
a repeat cesarean surgery. But in 2003 that number dropped
slightly. The drop can be related to more hospital restrictions
on VBAC care including shorter lengths of labour.
